Stand-alone residential primary exchange services
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has granted forbearance for residential local services in a number of Northerntel exchanges. This means that NorthernTel no longer need CRTC approval for new services, terms, conditions, and prices.
However, NorthernTel continue to be obligated to provide stand alone local services to customers upon request, subject to credit policy and deposit requirements.
