Interest on Deposits

(Interest Rate Calculation - Customer Cash Deposits)

The Company shall credit interest on customer cash deposits held by the Company for the period during which the deposit is retained and the interest rate shall be the Canadian chartered bank deposit rate for non-chequable savings deposits as published in the most recent Bank of Canada Review, Schedule F1. When service is terminated or the conditions which originally justified the deposit are no longer present the Company will immediately release all of the accrued interest and the deposit.

Note 2 : A primary listing consists of the following:

  1. a) The name of the customer or joint user if a person, firm or corporation, otherwise the name under which the principal business of the customer or joint user is regularly conducted. The name can also be that of a person for whose use telephone service is applied for by another person. When a customer has business and residence service in the same name, the name may be omitted from the residence primary listing if the latter is indented under the business listing.
  2. b) The address of the premises at which service is furnished, except that the address may be that of other premises or may be omitted when warranted, in the Company's opinion, by the circumstances (i.e., privacy concerns as in the case of shelters).
  3. c) The telephone number of the service.

Note 3 :

  1. a) Line Connection Charge Excluding Premise Visit LCC applies to work done in the Telephone System's central office and elsewhere necessary to connect the customer's telephone line to the network. The work involves extending the telephone line from the customer's premises to the serving central office and to the connections made within the serving central office. LCC applies to the following:
    • for each additional telephone line or other bridging connections over and above the first that are connected at the same time and in the same premise;
    • for each customer's request that results in a change in
  2. b) Line Connection Charge Including Premise Visit LCCIV applies to work done in the Telephone System's central office and elsewhere necessary to connect the customer's telephone line to the network and the connecting device. The work involves extending the telephone line from the customer's premises to the serving central office and to the connections made within the serving central office, when a visit from a technician is required. This charge includes the Administration Charge.
