Connects your home.

Intercommunication service, where technically available, lets you use your existing phone to reach people throughout your house, in your garage, or barn…wherever you have a telephone installed.

How to use Intercommunication:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial your own telephone number.
  3. Listen for a busy signal, then hang up.
  4. All extension phones will ring.
  5. The ringing stops when someone picks up the extension.
  6. Pick up the receiver at your end and you’re connected.

If no one responds to the ringing, simply pick up the receiver and hang up to cancel.

When the caller is on the line and you want to transfer the call to someone else in the same building.

  1. Press Link.
  2. Dial your own telephone number.
  3. Listen for a busy signal, then hang up.
  4. All extension phones will ring.
  5. The ringing stops when someone picks up the extension.
  6. Pick up the receiver and notify the other person that the call is for them.
  7. The other person would press link and they are connected to the original caller.
