Call Forwarding

Have your calls follow you wherever you go.

With Call Forwarding service your calls can follow you anywhere – so your family, friends and business contacts can always reach you. You can automatically forward your incoming calls to any number you choose, including cellular or pager numbers. Call Forwarding service also provides an added measure of security when you are away. Your telephone will always be answered. Call Forwarding is available on a monthly subscription basis.

Service available where facilities exist.

How to use Call Forwarding service:

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press *72 from a touch tone telephone or dial 1172 on a rotary dial telephone.
  3. Listen for 3 beeps, followed by dial tone.
  4. Dial the telephone number to which your calls are to be forwarded.
  5. If the person answers, keep the line open for at least 5 seconds to establish Call Forwarding service.

If the called number is busy or does not answer:

  1. Hang up.
  2. Press *72 on a touch tone telephone or dial 1172 on a rotary dial telephone. 
  3. Dial the telephone number to which your calls are to be forwarded. Listen for two beeps and hang up.
  4. Should you misdial, hang up and repeat the above steps.

To cancel Call Forwarding service

(route calls back to your regular telephone line):

  1. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press *73 on a touch tone telephone or dial 1173 on a rotary dial telephone. 
  3. Listen for two beeps and hang up.
