To ensure customers single-supplier access to a comprehensive range of products and services, NorthernTel maintains strategic alliances with Bell Canada, BCE Inc., Newbridge, Mitel™, Cisco, Nortel, Adcom, and Ericsson. This gives you, the customer, access to the collective resources of these companies.
Telephone systems
NorthernTel provides local access service to Northeastern Ontario. In addition, the Company provides cellular telephone, paging and mobile satellite solutions. NorthernTel offers a complete portfolio of services to its customers.These include Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Speed Calling, Three-Way Calling, Intercommunication, Call Display, Call Return and Voice Mail.

At NorthernTel, we understand the importance of having access to information, when and where you need it. The installation of an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) infrastructure allows the Company to provide business customers with products ranging from high-speed Internet to bandwidth intensive imaging solutions. NorthernTel provides high-speed Internet service to business and residential customers using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology, giving them virtually unlimited access over a single, existing telephone line.

More than ever, NorthernTel’s focus is on quality service based on a clear understanding of customers’ needs. Our experienced customer support teams are always ready to help. Our Network Surveillance and Maintenance Centre (NSMC) answers repair calls 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The NSMC allows technicians to identify and correct potential network problems before they affect customers.
