Configuring Voicemail to E-mail

Voicemail to E-mail is a complement to Voice Mail. This new NorthernTelAdvanced Phone Service allows you to redirect your voicemail messages to any email address. All you have to do is specify the email address to which you want your messages forwarded.

The following instructions will allow you to access the Voicemail to E-mail website and indicate the email address where you want your voice messages forwarded.

Before you can access the Voicemail to E-mail service for the first time, you must have first initialized your Voicemail. Then, use your personal Voicemail password as a PIN to authenticate your identity on the Voicemail to E-mail website.

To use the service, please follow the steps below carefully and read the Important Notice at the end of these instructions.

  1. Access the Call Feature Manager web-tool at:
  2. On the home page, click the “Voicemail to E-mail” link at the top of the page.
  3. A new window will open.
  4. Enter your 10-digit phone number (no spaces).
  5. Enter your personal password (PIN) (use the one you chose for your Voice Mail).
    Remember: If you ever change your personal password in your Voice Mail, you will need to use your NEW personal password to access the Voicemail to E-mail website.
  6. Click on “Login”.
  7. In the left menu, click on, “Settings”.
  8. In “Web Access Settings”, click on “Message Forwarding and Out of Office Reply”.
  9. Configure the next three (3) features, as follows:

Please follow the above instructions EXACTLY when configuring your Voicemail to E-mail, as NorthernTel does not provide technical support on the other features/functions available on the configuration Web site of this service. It is therefore STRONGLY recommended that you do not alter or use the other features in this Web site. NorthernTel is not responsible for problems that may arise if you disregard this notice.

Certain conditions apply, including a minimum 12-month commitment at time of subscription. Offer valid for residential customers only, where technology permits. Customer must have a Touch-Tone phone. Rotary phones are not compatible. An Internet connection is required to access the Call Feature Management website. Display features require a phone equipped with a display window. Certain features are activated and deactivated by phone.
